PBLMT FSAC Cohort 2 – April 2023-September 2023

During a follow-up interview with the project team, a parent of a participant from Cohort 2 expressed witnessing significant growth and success in her son.

“I am very happy with the program as it allowed my son to be more independent, and learn life skills. Now, at home, he even corrects me if I am using the knife wrong while chopping. He took it seriously and his attendance was pristine. I felt he became more social with other people as sometimes he can be quite shy. I look forward to seeing him shine in the industry in the near future.” 

After completing the FSAC course and practicum experience, one of the participants from Cohort 2 expressed that the program has expanded possibilities he had never considered before.

“Coming to this training has opened up possibilities that I never would have thought were possible before. This program has helped me with patience, how to be a role model and leader to other participants, and how to manage stress but most of all with culinary skills. I find it very beneficial to anybody who is looking to further their skills and training, learn new kitchen skills, and possibly find employment when completing the course and practicum.”
